Sherington CE School is very much part of the local community in Sherington and maintains strong links with other community organisations, in particular:
The Headteacher and staff are involved in a number of liaison groups. The aim of liaison between staff and schools is to ensure a smooth transition for children when they transfer at 7 and to enhance the curriculum and facilities available to our pupils.
The Headteachers of Sherington, Stoke Goldington and North Crawley schools, whose children transfer to Tickford Park Primary School, meet termly to discuss liaison with regard to curriculum continuity. Also the staff from all schools in the Ousedale catchment area attend regular liaison meetings.
Sherington is part of the Milton Keynes Small Schools Group. The Headteachers of small schools across Milton Keynes meet each half term to work together. Once a year all staff attend the Small Schools Conference. We work very closely with Sherington Pre School to ensure a smooth transition when children join us at age 4+.
