• The traditional May Day festivities took place on the Knoll on 4 May 2009. The acton started at 11am with the children from Sherington CE School dancing around the Maypole. This was followed by the Youth Club's sponsored Fun Run around the village. There were various stalls including Pre-School, the Historical Society and Youth Club. Philip Smith was the Master of Ceremonies. Channel 5 were filming for a programme to be shown later in the year.
